Dr. Anantha Duraiappah

Dr. Duraiappah is the Director of the UNESCO MGIEP since 2014 and is a science-policy pacesetter, with over 33 years’ experience. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed books and journal articles. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and a visiting Professor.
When at United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP), he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
Dr. Duraiappah today neurosciences of learning can contribute to developing emotional & intellectual intelligence through innovative digital pedagogies.
